Canonical intake Musicologize
Do you provide legal advice?

No. This is music analysis work. Legal strategy and legal conclusions belong to counsel.

What files do I need to send?

Your track and any reference track(s). Private links are fine. Stems and project notes can help but are not always required.

How do you treat production similarities?

Production resemblance can inform context but is not automatically treated as compositional similarity. The analysis prioritizes protectable musical material.

Can you work remotely?

Yes. Most work can be performed remotely with files and calls, subject to engagement terms and scheduling.

What do deliverables look like?

Typically a memo or report with a protectability map, similarity tables with timestamps/measures, and exhibit-ready explanations.

How fast can a similarity review be done?

Depends on scope, number of reference works, and deliverable formality. Scoping happens first.

Will you say "pass/fail"?

When appropriate, the output can include a clear risk posture statement. It is still a scope-controlled opinion, not a guarantee.

Do you testify?

Where retained and appropriate. Many matters involve consulting and exhibit work without testimony.
